Rollover near Brandon knocks out power

A one-vehicle rollover caused minor injuries and a brief power outage near Brandon Monday afternoon.

Gordon A. Rockswold, 65, of Minnetonka was driving on County Road 7 about two miles north of Brandon when he lost control of the vehicle at about 2:45 p.m.

The vehicle left the road and crashed into a power pole in the west ditch.

Rockswold and a juvenile male passenger suffered minor injuries and were taken to the Douglas County Hospital by North Ambulance, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Also responding to the scene were the Brandon First Responders, Brandon Fire Department and the Minnesota State Patrol.
